1. The Simmering Method
Simmering is the easiest as well as the quickest way to make rosewater. Grab your rose petals, distilled water, a large pot, a strainer, measuring cups, and a sealed container like a jar or a spray bottle.
Remove the stems’ petals until you have ½ to 1 cup of fresh petals because ¼ cup is plenty if you’re using dried petals. Having your desired amount, clean the petals with tap water to eliminate any dirt or bugs.
Then submerge the petals in just enough water to cover them, about 1 ½ cup because anything more than that will dilute the rosewater.

Face the pot-lid upside down (opposite of how you usually put it on) and place it onto the pot that way. The lid will help to trap the steam inside the pot.
